Espero que hayan disfrutado las clases abiertas. Los ni;os estuvieron muy emocionados para recibirlos en el salon.
Esta semana sera tranquilo. No habra pre-quiz o quiz de "spelling" hasta la proxima semana.
Para Viernes los alumnos deben de entregar su "Book Log" para el " Read-a-thon". Les recuerdo que no es necesario mandar los 3 dibujos si ya mandaron su dibujo (de la portada de su libro favorito) la semana pasada. Les mandare el sobre del "Read-a-thon" donde pueden guardar y regresar los "Book Log".

This weeks news!
Estimados padres de familia:
Buenos dias!
Espero que todos esten listos para asistir a clases y observar a sus hijos. Si desean cambiar la fecha de su visita favor de avisarme lo mas pronto posible.
Esta semana vamos a empezar con nuevas palabras de “spelling”. Los siguientes 5 tandas de palabras de “spelling” son del sonido largo del vocal. Los sonidos largos son como se pronuncian en el canto de los “ABC’s” A de “apron” o “angel”, e de “ eagle” o en las palabras “feet” o “teeth”. Al practicar las palabras en casa recuerda a sus hijos del “magic ‘e’” como lo vamos a ense;ar en el salón. Si la palabra termina con “e” el primer vocal tiene el sonido largo………vamos a repasar esto en las clases abiertas, asi tendrán un mejor idea del concepto.
Vamos a celebrar “100 Day” Jueves 26 de Enero. Favor de entregar los proyectos antes del dia Miercoles 25 para poder acomodar con tiempo todos los proyectos en el SUM donde estarán en exposición.

Wow! how time passes.....soon it will be Christmas. The children are practicing for the christmas play but need a little of your help with their lines. Please work with them so they feel confident and that their program can be a success.
Thank you so much for all the groceries that were sent with the intention of showing the janitors how much we appreciate them. The box of food is full to overflowing...but if you want we can fit more in! =)
The children were very excited to learn that this Friday will be their last spelling quiz until the new year....and that they are finishing off the pages in their spelling workbook...... Remember that this Friday we will also take the reading comprehension and HFW's quiz.
